Yağızcan Keskin – Clarinetist

Born in Izmir in 1993, Yağızcan Keskin started his clarinet education in 2007 at Dokuz Eylül University State Conservatory in Izmir with Ender Gülenler. He contuniued his education at Lübeck Music Academy in class of Reiner Wehle – Sabine Meyer and at Berlin “Hanns Eisler” Music Academy, in class of Martin Spangenberg and Ralf Forster with “ Güher &Süher Pekinel Young Musicians on World Stages ” scholarship and “Eczacıbaşı Music Scholarship”. 

He ranked third prize in Marsyas International Clarinet Competition, second prize in Yaşar University Chamber Music Competition, first Prize Dobrich International Clarinet Competition in his category and represented Turkey in Thomas Kuti International Clarinet Competition. He won the second prize and ‘’Best Chamber Music Performance’’ awards in the International Anton Eberst Clarinet Competition which was held in Serbia. 

He performed soloist concerts with Dokuz Eylül University Academic Symphony Orchestra, İzmir State Symphony Orchestra, Çukurova State Symphony Orchestra, Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Symphony Orchestra and İstanbul State Symphony Orchestra and Tekfen Philharmonic Orchestra. 

Since 2017 Keskin is a member of Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Symphony Orchestra and since 2018 he has a solo clarinetist position in Tekfen Philharmonic Orchestra.

Yağızcan Keskin was a scholar of the “Young Musicians on World Stages” system, initiated and mentored by Güher and Süher Pekinel.
