“Young Musicians on World Stages” a project I support with the deepest conviction….I don’t know why, but the state has given up his responsibility for “High Gifted Children”. Since several years this responsibility is taken over by Güher & Süher Pekinel. They are seeking for new talents, open up them new possibilities by using their worldwide reputation, enable scholarships…
The latest news from Güher are so wonderful, that I would like to share them with you immediately.
Young pianist Can Çakmur succeeded, with jury’s highest score, the entrance examination of the “Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt Weimar”.
Violinist Veriko Tchumburidze was elected by “Orpheum Musik Stiftung” Zürich, which prepares extraordinary musicians for a world career, to release a CD series on the occasion of its 25th anniversary, at the end of this year in cooperation with Sony Music . İn December she will give a concert in Zürich, together with Tonhalle Orchestra, Switzerland’s most important orchestra.
Cellist Dorukhan Doruk, won 2nd price at the International Lutoslawski Competition in Warsaw, one of the most important cello competition which takes place every two years. Furthermore he is being invited to give concerts with international renowned orchestras.
Violinist Elvin Hoxha, was chosen as student of the outstanding teacher Zakhar Bron. He will realize concerts in Berlin, New York and Paris.
Pianist Yunus Tuncalı, gave very successful recitals on 15th May at the “Joseph Joachim Hall” and on 20th May at the “Musikinstrumenten Museum Curt Sach Hall”. He is also invited for the upcoming season.
The 14 years old violinist Doğa Altınok, won first prize at the 11th İnternational Young Virtuoso Competition in Sofia and at the 22nd International Violin Competition Andrea Postacchini, in Fermo, İtaly.
Pianist Cem Esen won last year the ”ArtEZ Conservatory Prize” at the İnternational Young Musician Piano Competition in the Netherlands. He also won 2nd prize at the “Vedat Kosal National Piano Competition”.
Beyond her performances at the “Accademia alla Scala”, Balerin Duygu Eliz Erkut, was invited by the academy as a 7th class student to the Teatro alla Scalla. A premier in its 200 years history . Now Eliz is studying at the academy and taking part in the performances of the Scala.
Violinist Kıvanç Tire, became as first Turkish musician ever, member of the Leipziger Gewandhaus.
Güher says: “İn the hope to listen to all our musicians as soloists together with the worldwide most prestigious orchestras in near future..”
