Naz İrem Türkmen – Violinist

Naz Irem Turkmen, started her violin education at Istanbul State Conservatuary with Aslı Erdal. She studied with Prof. Ceyda Uzgören, Dania Kainova and Muhammedjan Turdiev. Currently she pursues her violin studies with Prof. Sonja Korkeala at Hochschule für Musik und Theater München. She has attended the masterclasses of great pedagogues such as Prof. Dora Schwarzberg, Kirill Troussov, Itzhak Rashovsky, Nora Chastain and Ellen Jewett.

2016 – Austria “International Grand Prize Virtuoso Music”. 1st Prize
2018 – Grand Prize and Special Prize for “Exceptional Artists Personality” at Odessa International Violin Competition
2019 – Belgium 12th Grumiaux International Competition for Young Violinists” 1st Prize.

Besides of her recital concerts she continues to play with the most important Orchestras in Turkey such as İzmir State Symphony Orchestra, Cemal Reşit Rey Orchestra, Eskişehir State Symphony Orchestra, İstanbul State Ballet and Opera and Borusan Philharmonic Orchestra in distinguished Concert Halls, parallel to her education.

She is a part of “Young Musicians on World Stages“ system initiated and carried out by Güher & Süher Pekinel.
