Kıvanç Tire – Violinist

Kıvanç Tire, was born in 1989 in Nazilli/Aydın. He is the first Turkish member of the “Gewandhaus Orchestra Leibzig”, which has been accepted as the oldest civil orchestra in the world (234 years).

In 2000, he entered the Hacettepe Ankara State Conservatory and started to work with Prof. Murat Tamer. In 2003, he took the stage as a soloist in Fazıl Say’s “Metin Altıok Ağıtı” oratorio.

In 2007, he was selected for the star students concert (Academy Datça Music Course) and performed Max Bruch’s no. 1 violin concerto.

In 2007-2008 He was elected to the Orchestra National Youth Symphony and served as a member of the 1st violin in the tours of this orchestra and in 2011 as the 2nd violin conductor in the same orchestra.

In 2010 he joined the “Young Musicians on World Stages” system and in the same year he passed the entrance exam for the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra and was selected to join the permanent staff.

Tire, who won the 1st place in the “Yamaha National Instrumental Competition”, is a member of the “Young Musicians on World Stages” project initiated by Pekinel’s.

He entered the “Leipzig Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy Hochschule Musik und Theater” for master’s education.
He is currently playing as member of the Gewandhaus Orchestra Leİbzig, in the first violin section and established as chamber musician a quartet with the member of the orchestra with whom he is touring.
